CDC Will Collect Personal Data On Vaccine Recipients, Raising Privacy Concerns

"The Centers for Disease Control will collect the names, addresses, ethnicities and birthdays of coronavirus vaccine recipients..."

"The CDC is asking states to sign a data sharing agreement to hand over the personal information of vaccine recipients “to generate a comprehensive picture of COVID-19 vaccine uptake nationally.”

"Access to the data will expire after the agreement ends, but a copy of the dataset will be retained to comply with the Federal Records Act and for research purposes, the CDC agreement says."
